Hi there! I am back and back with a refreshing feeling, refreshing identity – but the basics remains the same and I know you all have missed me a lot too.

At least I have missed a lot staying away from the blog. There had been many events which came up simultaneously and paused for some time my blogging activity.

At the personal front there have been many itineraries which kept me quite occupied and esp. my little one.

At professional front the last few weeks were the most packed one’s as compared to the year (add an audit besides the regular stuff), so you can understand what it had been for me.

The most important as you all must have realised by now – a makeover of the blog. The blog was renamed to my name and there has been changes in the themes and lay outs. Once I was up with the new domain it took quite some time for me to fix the broken ends and to ensure that I do not lose anyone or any precious moment from my blog. It was quite time taking but the happiness engineers at WordPress are very helpful

Together all these makes you strong and more powerful and responsible person.

I am sure you all will stay connected with me and my journey as I start the journey with a new identity.

Richard Marx is among the few who is synonymous with power ballads, hard rock, pop rock, alt rock, writer, singer and composer.

Although the most successful number includes Right here waiting but the earlier songs which were more inclined towards rock are a class apart and show an altogether different aspect of Richard. These songs includes

  • Heart on the line
  • Don’t mean nothing
  • Hazard
  • Too late to say goodbye
  • Satisfied

The other hits and soft ones are Right here waiting, At the beginning with Donna Lewis from Anastasia, old on to the nights and Angelia.

I love endless summer night a lot and it talks of soulfulness, what beautiful lyrics and composition, one really feels like – rising in the afternoon making love to you under the moon:

P FOR PINK FLOYD – A TO Z CHALLENGE

There are only 3 walls which are famous, Berlin wall, Wall of China and The Wall by Pink Floyd.

PAnother Brick in the Wall was the song which hit number 1 instantly. It still continues to reign it’s position and I can listen to it any time, any place and any duration, love it at times when I am driving, it arouses something within.

Another Brick in the Wall all versions (Reminiscing, Education & Drugs) were written by Roger Waters

The wall was an imagination of the wall which was created in the singer’s mind and another brik in the wall would mean that the cause, effect, situation or person just added to the wall and thereby increasing the isolation of the person from society, or relationship etc.

David Gilmour and Roger Waters love you and respect for your music.

I still remember when I bought the album The Wall in a fluke, was so impressed with the cover, title and the band’s name. I was at high school during that time probably.

There is a reason behind the repetitions, if you have heard this song you can relate to it. The chant goes in my head as I am typing or even thinking about this song.

This is a very powerful and peaceful Buddhist song, if you ever had the chance of visiting any monastery you will find it written there. It is related to Buddhism and is a very calming mantra for meditation and when you are alone and need some tranquility and peace just play this song in low volume and you will experience magic.

N FOR NIRVANA, KURT COBIAN – A TO Z CHALLENGE

NIRVANA means to rise above and attain the moksha (release, freedom from cycle of birth and death and attain a state of egolessness) It is a state very hard to attain and is difficult to preach or practice.

N

The Nirvana band however does very well and helps you to attain Nirvana through their music.The songs in their list includes, Smells like teen spirit, About a girl, Sliver, Stay Away to name a few. The band’s lifeline was cut short following the death of Kurt Cobian which was very unfortunate for them.

Sliver is one of the songs which my small one uses and says to me in a pun Grandma take me home, wanna be alone.

Love you Kurt Cobian for giving us the best grunge,is  there some reason behind so many good musicians dying young, makes me feel sad and bad about it. Anyway the music will always make him live forever. May God give him peace wherever he is.

M FOR MOON WALK AKA MICHAEL JACKSON – A TO Z CHALLENGE

M FOR MOON WALK WHO ELSE THAN OUR MICHAEL JACKSON

When it comes to music how we can forget Michael Jackson. He is the man who gave you the moon walk and still it is one of the best dance steps in the world. He is after all the KING of POP without any doubts.

I have always felt sad about his demise and just imagine what it would have been if he was still between us. Some of his best songs include Beat it, Thriller, black or white, Remember the time. One of his last track which I like very much is They don’t care about it, it was ecstatic

Salute and respect for the king of pop and May he gets peace wherever he is.

My Connect

Michael is to Music what water is to life so it is not possible that someone is not exposed to MJ. It is so inherent and prevalent that you don’t remember when was your first time.

L FOR LADY GAGA – A TO Z CHALLENGE

She definitely deserves a mention and applause. She is bold, different, good at her music and successful. She is always on the news for some reason and is known for her wild outfits in her video and fashion sense.

Alejandro, Bad Romance and Poker Face are the biggest hits she has on her list.

When Gaga and her friends met in their initial days they were working on for a name. They used to sing Radio Gaga whenever she used to come and one fine day she received a text which read Lady Gaga, it was from there she adopted the name and it lead her to success.

My Connect

There is a strange story as to how I heard Lady Gaga.

It was summer, it was in England, it was Berkshire county and I was in Reading – guess what – The Reading Music festival was on. The place where I lived was near the site at Oracle Square and I can hear the distant music and the area which brightened up the sky.

The place got full with the youth and the place went mad and viral, they played songs whole night and Alejandro, Bad Romance  and Poker Face was a hit those days, it was the first time that I hear Lady Gaga.

Thereafter I saw the video from youtube and also heard the songs in Thames Valley Radio show,  Heart Breakfast with Matt and Mitchell, by far it is the best morning breakfast show I have heard. Loved to hear Matt and Michell.

On my return to India, I used the name and video very well. My daughter was got scared of Lady Gaga and I used to tell her to sleep before Lady Gaga arrives 🙂
