SUNSET AT SANGAM – MY PLACE IN THE WORLD

Where do you belong? In the hustle and bustle of a big city or amongst friendly faces in a small town?

The place I want to be is the closest to nature – rivers, oceans, lakes, mountains, forest, wildlife, trees and park. As a personal choice, I would prefer to avoid crowded beaches or places and prefer more calm and serene one.

The immense peace and solitude it has to offer beats the daily hustle in life, takes away all your stress and negative feelings, rejuvenates you and it helps in reflecting your true self and leading to discover a new you, almost always.

The sound of the sea waves, the chirping of the birds, the pitter-patter of the rain in the roof – all helps to shred all your worries and anxieties. So I feel no place in the world is better than the lap of nature

These pictures are from Sangam, it is a confluence of 3 rivers, Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati in the holy city of Allahabad. It is also the place where the worlds largest human congregation takes place called the Kumbh Mela – around January and is visited by millions across the globe.  It is believed that a bath in the Holy Ganga river will wash away all your sins and this is what the Kumbh Mela is all about. If you have not heard of it then you must read more about it here.

The place is otherwise not crowded and busy, there are stretches where you can certainly sit back and enjoy the sunset. Seen here is the bridge over river Yamuna and was taken from a boat ride.

Real Life Heroes – Putting their life at stake for others

I could not resist myself from pulling my car by the side of the road (the famous NH-24 which is always crowded)  to capture some pics of this man’s work while returning from my work to home. I was stunned to see this person’s job – fearless, bold and requires a lot of courage and talent.

High Tension towers were being installed and new wires were laid to carry power from the power stations to the city.  There are no covers too at the ground just in case he tripped and the rope fastened to him broke(although it was a very thick one so very thin chances of the same, however accidents happen).  It was almost dusk and he had to complete his work, move towards the tower(he was in the middle) and make his way down from the tower. He had been working up there since long and given the soaring temperature of 42 C it was really a brave-hearts work. I wish I could have his name and credit him in this post.

My heart goes out to salute all those brave hearts who have such job profiles and yet they perform beyond expectations, complaints and any rewards. The matter of fact is that they are not highly paid individuals and yet they are part of a risk affair. God bless such people and give them peace and happiness in life who work their lives out to enlighten others life.

This also highlights another strange contrasting aspect of our social life:

Some pay to have adventure and fun in their life, while for a few it is the way of life, only means of survival – their bread and butter.

Looking at the photographs I am sure you must have got an idea of the height of the wire he has been working on. What I can guess is 200-250 fts.

Strangest moment was when slowly the passersby stopped watching me click and one of them asked me “Is that a mad person who has climbed up?”. I did not know how to react and had a feeling of how ignorant this person is, I just smiled back to him.

Those who keep on complaining about their life and job try changing gears with this guy who plays with danger and his life in every moment he works.

God bless you all, stay happy keep smiling and Enjoy. A BIG Kiss 🙂

Back with a Sunshine

The sun only sets to rise another day – Higher & Higher, brighter & brighter and bigger & bigger.

Sunset at the rural area – as beautiful as it can get. Watch it on fullscreen

Hi there! I am back and back with a refreshing feeling, refreshing identity – but the basics remains the same and I know you all have missed me a lot too.

At least I have missed a lot staying away from the blog. There had been many events which came up simultaneously and paused for some time my blogging activity.

At the personal front there have been many itineraries which kept me quite occupied and esp. my little one.

At professional front the last few weeks were the most packed one’s as compared to the year (add an audit besides the regular stuff), so you can understand what it had been for me.

The most important as you all must have realised by now – a makeover of the blog. The blog was renamed to my name and there has been changes in the themes and lay outs. Once I was up with the new domain it took quite some time for me to fix the broken ends and to ensure that I do not lose anyone or any precious moment from my blog. It was quite time taking but the happiness engineers at WordPress are very helpful

Together all these makes you strong and more powerful and responsible person.

I am sure you all will stay connected with me and my journey as I start the journey with a new identity.

Looking forward for your love and blessings, a big KISS and a warm HUG.
