SUNSET AT SANGAM – MY PLACE IN THE WORLD

Where do you belong? In the hustle and bustle of a big city or amongst friendly faces in a small town?

The place I want to be is the closest to nature – rivers, oceans, lakes, mountains, forest, wildlife, trees and park. As a personal choice, I would prefer to avoid crowded beaches or places and prefer more calm and serene one.

The immense peace and solitude it has to offer beats the daily hustle in life, takes away all your stress and negative feelings, rejuvenates you and it helps in reflecting your true self and leading to discover a new you, almost always.

The sound of the sea waves, the chirping of the birds, the pitter-patter of the rain in the roof – all helps to shred all your worries and anxieties. So I feel no place in the world is better than the lap of nature

These pictures are from Sangam, it is a confluence of 3 rivers, Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati in the holy city of Allahabad. It is also the place where the worlds largest human congregation takes place called the Kumbh Mela – around January and is visited by millions across the globe.  It is believed that a bath in the Holy Ganga river will wash away all your sins and this is what the Kumbh Mela is all about. If you have not heard of it then you must read more about it here.

The place is otherwise not crowded and busy, there are stretches where you can certainly sit back and enjoy the sunset. Seen here is the bridge over river Yamuna and was taken from a boat ride.

EARTH DAY, 22 APR, 2016 – EVERY DROP MATTERS

As it is the Earth day which I am sure everyone is aware of by now and Google also reminded us with the beautiful doodle, so I also wanted to share and do my bit for promoting the need to conserve natural resources.

Let us all pledge to consume what we need, rather than consume what is available to us, let’s be more sensible, more responsible and leave a better future behind us.

Saw this tap in the park and wanted to share it to highlight the need of water before it becomes scanty. Certain states in India are reeling severely under water crisis and places have not seen consumable water for 3-4 days gap. It is really scary, hard to imagine the plight of people dealing with this.

Finally it’s gone…. 😦

Let’s save every drop before it’s too late and the taps run dry.

YOU HAVE GOT SNAIL

In this fast paced world – the snail has a message to deliver.

Take a pause and take out some time for yourself, your family, friends and enjoy life, there is always some learning which the snails strongly want to pass to today’s mankind.

Any guesses as to where has the snail was photographed?
