Eat to Live or Live to Eat

Do you eat to live or love to eat? Will you travel to enlighten your taste buds.

We (calling out all who are reading this) are all fortunate in this world to have food at our disposal.  I am thankful that I get to eat in all quarters.

Being from India which offers a diverse eating option in every mile you travel it is sad that I am not a foodie, well I admit I take what is offered and don’t go for a food hunt spree.

Travel
Travel the distance

However I will definitely not travel for food, may be I am not that passionate.

I say very often that there is nothing like water after having some and a few have started to like it. Nothing quenches our thirst and longing when you are badly in need of some water.

Let us thank all the people involved in doing the most serious business around the world – “Cultivating Food” and helping millions of us alive. Seriously I am thankful and respectful to every farmer, dairy worker or anyone who is connected in bridging the gap from the farm to the our arm. We owe a big thank you to everyone out there.

Enjoy and lots of love, kisses and blessings

Pour Some Sugar on Me

What is your favorite sweet thing to eat? Bread pudding? Chocolate chip oatmeal cookies? A smooth and creamy piece of cheesecake?

I am taken down the memory lane with Pour Some Sugar on Me.

This relates to the Def Lepard hit single Pour Some Sugar on me from their album Hysteria. What a craze it was with this album, the title track Hysteria was also a huge success, at the same time the rock and ballad king Richard Marx also came out with the hit Hold on to the nights. Try these tracks with some sweets am sure you would like them, just give time to dissolve like sugar.

Coming back to the sugary post, I would go with cakes, pastries, Indian sweets ( they offer a huge variety) and home made cookies and cakes.

Enjoy some of the sugary snaps from my collection and have a sweet time:

Survival In Captivity…

You’ve being exiled to a private island, and your captors will only supply you with five foods. What do you pick?

I used to maintain a book on quotations, metaphors and idioms when I was a kid, there was no internet kinda stuff.

One of the idioms that pops up is this one:

While others live to eat, I Eat to live.

Eat to Live – Basically it means that eating should not be one of your favourite hobby, one should eat healthy and survive. At least I am not to finicky when it comes to eating. As a matter of fact we need to eat to survive else we succumb.

Live to Eat- on the other hand refers to the fact that eating for you is something beyond just survival.

Given the fact of captivity, do I need to bother what I have been given to eat once taken captive, still given the choice I would go with rice, tea, pulses, egg and bread.

In this age I believe having internet access will be much of a boon when in captivity. we can keep posting our daily update on social media.

The above image is from a country side restaurant in India when we were en-route to Agra to see the beautiful Taj Mahal. These are called Dhabas in India and they serve some real good traditional Indian mouth watering and relishing dishes.

So next time you come to India make sure you visit one.
