The Mirror Crack’d

Imagine getting up in the morning to a world without mirrors.

Mirror Mirror on the wall don’t you ever lie at all, alas Mirror always speaks the truth.

These will become a talk of the past…Mirror will not be asked for lying or speaking the truth… The mirrors have cracked and ceased to exist.

It took a long time before it cracked…..

However there will be many repercussions due to the cracking:

  • Mirrors will find a new space in academics, moving from Physics Books(Reflection, Refraction, Concave and Convex Mirror theories) to finding a place in the History book(When was the first mirror made, when did the last mirror cracked, uses of Mirror…).
  • Less self-evaluation in front of the mirrors.
  • Fashion geeks will go bonkers.
  • One of the most famous German Fairy Tale(Snow White) would have to be re-written.
  • Cars will get equipped with cameras and lots more like these….

There will not be much difference in my life as I believe in the saying:

Spend a minute before the mirror, five before GOD and fifteen before yourself.

No Gains Without Pains….

“Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them.” These lines are from Twelfth Night by William Shakespeare.

However I firmly believe in doers and not on people who are waiting for luck or destiny to strike the chord to make the day.

If hard work is the key to success most people would prefer the lock. Pick the key now and prove yourself with short term goals to achieve it.

There are no shortcuts in life or shortcut to success, Success or gain in life is always backed with a strong sense of commitment and hurdles which one crosses to accomplish every milestone in life.

The Taj Mahal, Agra. India
The Taj Mahal, Agra. India

It took 12 years to complete the The Taj Mahal with a strong work force of twenty thousand workers.

Burj Khalifa Dubai the tallest standing structure took 6 years to complete.

The Eiffel Tower took 2 years to complete.

Rome was not built in a day, all great work takes time and patience to complete and accomplish, and it is only dedication, patience and perseverance that leads us to achieve our ultimate goal. There are no gains in life without a pain and patience and the ability to stick on to it.

Thus start every day with the following thoughts:

  • Push your limits, Take a stand and Leave your mark.
  • Chase your dreams, conquer your fears.
  • Take a risk, push your boundaries.
  • Trust your instincts, Never give up.
  • Prove your words, Right a wrong.
  • Challenge yourself; Raise the bars Dream of a new high

It’s your life, it’s your attitude towards it, just beat all odds.

At last I would like to quote Swami Vivekananda:

See for the highest, aim at that highest, and you shall reach the highest.

Waiting for Sunrise!!!!

I always get up early in the morning and hit the asphalt, so its like I am waiting for the sunrise to happen and experience it daily.

I put on my trainers and leave for the track followed by aerobics and some good gym time.

I love to get up early and its in my DNA since I was a child.

Sweating it out and then heading towards work gives a gush of happiness poured in with new thoughts, new beliefs, new challenges to face in the day and above all a high spirit.

Birds head for their home at dusk and start chirping at dawn; I believe that following the same lines of nature one can be truly taking care of self and have a healthy routine in life. Nothing can be better than this feeling.

Although I like to sleep early too which probably is not possible very often….

But like the dawn also love the dusk as it gives a feeling that we made a remarkable day and there will be another recharge session of sleep. So always looking forward to both dusk and dawn.

Pingback: Dawn to Dusk

Wish that it aint late until I reach my destiny,

It is not yet too far for sure.

These  thought inspire me to fly,

From dusk to dawn in the sky….
